My Antique Booth

Hey All!  I thought I would post some pictures of my booth in the new antique mall that came to town!  They were quick shots that I took as I was leaving the other day so they aren't the best but, not the worst either. :)

Wildwood Antique Mall has opened their doors in our humble little space-coast city of Titusville, Florida and is making a huge hit!  They occupy an old Publix supermarket and have well over 8000 sq. feet and are still growing!  I was very lucky to have wandered in one day out of curiosity when they were just starting to rent space back in November and I didn't hesitate to grab my spot that same day.  Good thing too because they are pretty much filled up with great dealers now!

Years ago I had a couple of brick and mortar's in town and I've done the eBay thing, but I've never had a booth in an antique mall before!  This has been an exciting, new learning experience for me... setting up walls where there aren't any, laying out the little nooks, crannies, shelving and displays, pricing items and setting up bookkeeping, creating marketing and networking sources, etc., etc.  Basically,  trying to create a cute little store within a store.  I have to admit it's been intimidating at times but, the staff and other dealers are some of the nicest people I've met in awhile and really help to ease those novice doubts.

It's not completely set up yet like I want it... like I planned it in my head...like I drew it out on paper...and have dreams in my sleep about it, but that's okay, I know I will be adding to it and changing it many, many times in the future and will have fun doing it.

And look here!... how exciting!....Wildwood is having it's...

Just Jumping In!

So...I've been working on my blog the past couple of months trying to give it a much needed makeover. I'm trying to do this all by myself with the help of many tutorials that I find out there on the web. Now mind you, I have been a huge blog slacker. I haven't posted anything in over a year, haven't added pictures etc. Just messed around with the template until I really messed it up. Hence the need for a new look. And now, I'm trying to figure out the new template designer and re-learn other little tricks for making a more casual ~ kicked back kind of blog.

Now, I'm really liking the "pages" option but I sure don't like the way it looks. I am wanting the links on the page bar to have pictures on them...can't figure out how to do that.  I am wanting to add an email link with a picture...can't figure out how to do that.  So, I'm just jumping in here, unfinished blog and all, in hopes that someone out there will feel pity for me and pass along some much needed tips to me. But be patient with me...I will be playing with the fonts, colors, gadgets, pictures etc.. If anything at all it should be very entertaining to stop by for a good chuckle at my attempts.

It will be a nice blog when I fine tune it.  It will have post about my new booth at an antique mall with lot's of pictures.  I will have a before and after page of re-purposed, re-painted and re-cycled goodies.  I am planning on a recipe page and maybe one about day-trips around Florida.  There will be just some good ole' laid back blogging going on here.  I want this to be a place where you will stop by, sit back and just enjoy.  You know, just lurk, like I do on all the other wonderful blogs out there. Yet, I've been to embarrassed to comment or participate on other blogs because mine has been such a mess and I would just die if guest stopped by.  So anyone with any free blogging help would be greatly appreciated so that I can get this thing going in the direction that I am dreaming of and looking like a nice place to visit!

Until next time ~ Jana
